The obsession I have with typefaces and type design started at a fairly young age. At 13 I started to experiment with communication mediums. I played with composition, colour systems, scale, abstraction, perspective and surprise. Impressive studies for a 13 year old, I know, but they sum up my time as a graffiti writer.
Obviously I was too young to realize what this form of art was instilling in me, but as I reflect on those times, I see now, almost 30 years later, that I use the exact same processes in developing commercial design.
