Communications Arts Magazine is pleased to announce that the 58th annual design and advertising competition is now open. This competition is amoung the most prestigious of all juried competitions in visual communications.
The six competitions cover the entire field of visual communications, including photography, design, advertising, typography, illustration and interactive media.
Categories include advertising, editorial, for sale, motion and unpublished. More than 200 photographs from well-known photographers and rising stars emerge from this prestigious competition.
This competition is juried by top designers and is meant for designers creating posters, brochures, packaging, trademarks, corporate identity, integrated branding, annual reports, catalogs, public service, self-promotion, letterheads and signage.
The advertising competition attracts consumer and institutional print ads, posters, broadcast and new media and the new category of integrated media campaigns. Leading creative directors, art directors and writers judge the work for selection.
This competition is a celebration of the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising. It also recognizes new typeface designs, calligraphy and hand lettering. Categories include collateral, packaging, media, motion, environmental and unpublished/experimental.
In this competition, designers display their best work being done for the Web, DVD, interactive kiosk and handheld devices. Categories include websites/microsites, environmental, mobile, other interactive media, social, tablets/handheld devices and student work.
Illustration from editorial, advertising, institutional, for sale, unpublished and student categories are all welcome in this competition, judged by an esteemed group of designers and art directors.
Winning entries are published both in print and online, and each winner will receive a personalized Award of Excellence trophy milled from beautiful solid aluminum.
