TORONTO—The Walrus has a new art director in Brian Morgan.
A graduate of the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver and the Rhode Island School of Design, Morgan is the former deputy AD of Maclean’s. He has also worked for the Globe and Mail, CanWest Media and in The Walrus art department from 2004 to 2006. Morgan replaces Antonio De Luca, who had been AD of the magazine since its inception in 2003.
“I am looking forward to working with John Macfarlane [the new editor of the magazine] and returning to The Walrus," says Morgan. “From an art point-of-view [former art director] Antonio De Luca has shaped an amazing book and I hope that I can build on, and add to, the truly great work he and his colleagues have done.” Contact: www.walrusmagazine.com
