As of October 1st, Kijiji rolled out a new look that you’ll want to check out for yourself. This is the first refresh of the company’s visual identity since its inception way back in 2005. Updating logos and branding is important to any company, but you still want to keep your brand recognizable. CloudRaker Marketing Group led the refresh in collaboration with Kijiji’s in-house marketing, product and UX team to build something unique that will thrive across online and offline platforms.
The refresh was in part due to the previous months of platform changes and also reinforces Kijiji’s leadership as the number one classified site in Canada. The platform is going through a process of continually improving. There have been many advancements over the last 18 months. These include significant UX and technical changes to both the mobile app as well as the web platform to enhance the customer experience.
The new logo shows the evolution of the company, but still pays homage to the brand that Canadians love. The logo now has a clean and simple design, but is still as fun as the company’s personality itself. The original visual identity was created back over 13 years ago and was beginning to feel dated. It needed to be updated in order to make sense in the changed world. The company has grown so much and that needed to be reflected to take the brand into the future.

At the same time, CloudRaker wanted to make sure that the new image still reflected the company. The new design is similar, so it is still recognizable to those who love it. The colored dots are distinct to the brand along with the dancing letters. The main thing that needed to be done was modernize the identity, but still retaining these key characteristics. There was a lot of attention paid to capturing and amplifying the details of the past, identify and then re-imaging them in a more modern way.

Feedback has been extremely positive so far. People feel that the logo is fresh and modern, but also recognizable to the brand at the same time.
