The Royal Military College of Canada Athletics has introduced a new logo. The school’s athletes will have a new look for the 2019-2020 season, wearing the new logos on their jerseys and t-shirts.
The logo features the outline of the RMC Memorial Arch, a very important monument on campus and iconic for the school. The shield shows the school’s dedication to Canada’s national defence, while the raised sword shows military valour.
The updated logo was created by TRI³ Hardgear, a Canadian company known for its sports designs. The RMC Paladins Re-branding Committee gave input for the design.
All of RMC’s varsity teams, recreation clubs, and intramural sports teams will use the new logo and branding.
“We now have one uniquely RMC logo our teams can wear proudly,” director of athletics Darren Cates said. “It’s a brand people will recognize when they see it on the streets of Kingston and as our athletes travel across the country to compete.”
The school was overdue for a new logo and overall new branding. The previous logo featured a Paladin charging on a horse, holding a sword and shield.
The entire logo was inspired by the colors of Canada, and what the country stands for. The maple leaf keeps Canada in the logo and reminds people of the school’s location and beliefs. Check out the new logo on the school’s athletes this coming 2019-20 season!
