We all remember the oversized, yellow rubber duck that graced Toronto’s waterfront last year. This year, however, there won’t be any floating ducks but there will still be a giant inflatable installation!
Instead, the captivating attraction at the Redpath Waterfront Festival will be the HTO Pendulum Wave, made of giant beach balls.
The Pendulum Wave which is already underway is currently being custom designed by none other than the Canadian Design Firm- Decor & More.
Inspired by science, this Pendulum Wave will have six beach balls with each being 6.5 feet tall. It will be attached to the HTO Park and suspended in the air as it swings back and forth from the large frame. The entire installation will be 22 feet tall, 42 feet wide, 12 feet deep and weighing 19,000 pounds.
This new amusement hopes that the beach balls will be as playful and fun in hopes that it attracts as much visitors as the infamous giant, rubber duck.
